HELP · BITCOIN VAULTS

How Bitcoin inheritance works

HeirVault Bitcoin vaults use Bitcoin-native signing and confirmation rules. The claim page keeps raw transaction data in Advanced so heirs can focus on the required actions.

Native Bitcoin, not wrapped BTC

Bitcoin vaults use Taproot script paths and PSBT signing. Funds stay on Bitcoin and are not bridged into an EVM contract.

PSBT signing

A PSBT is a prepared Bitcoin transaction that still needs wallet signatures. Review the fee, inputs, and destination details before signing.

Co-heir signatures

If the vault requires multiple signatures, each co-heir opens the same claim page and signs in with their registered wallet.

Fee rate

Higher fee rates confirm faster during busy mempool periods. Lower fee rates may save sats but can take longer to confirm.
